Product Details

The PT50B Sharpness Tester from Edge-On-Up measures the force in grams required to cut through a standardized test medium, providing an exact numerical reading for blade sharpness. A score of 2000 BESS indicates an unsharpened knife, while a score of 0 BESS represents the highest level of sharpness. Knives with scores below 50 BESS are considered razor-sharp, with lower BESS values indicating sharper blades.
